My 1963 VOX AC30 Amplifier History...   some text provided by Jack Bennett (former owner) and Victor Mason of Plexi Palace, as noted.

The Vox AC30 is one of Britain's most popular guitar amplifiers and has helped to define the sound of rock 'n roll since the 1950s. Little has changed in its design
over the years, illustrating the importance of its design. The VOX AC30's cathode bias arrangement and blend of Alnico Celestion speakers gives this amp plenty
of punch and tone with beautiful harmonics.

"The red panel amplifier is one of the sweetest sounding amps because of their rich tone, and their adaptable tones. This amp is very guitar sensitive. Different
guitars will yield almost completely different sounds not having adjusted the volume or tone controls on the AC30 itself. This is due to the simplicity of the
wonderful amp. There are not many of these beauties left. A great majority of fine vintage amps are bought and tucked away making them harder and harder
to obtain." - Victor Mason of Plexi Palace

Jack Bennett purchased the amp on 3/7/02 from Victor Mason at Plexi Palace (the guy who builds Mojave amps). It was rebuilt, tube-matched and biased in 2001
by Victor, Craig and Thomas to learn more about what made them so amazing. This AC30 has a special “chrome VOX chassis rebuild” as it says on Victor’s site.
The amp is in like new condition with one very tiny “edge” blemish smaller than a thumbnail. It is a very chimey and sweet-sounding amplifier. Less than 100
hours of play since its rebuild.  Jack paid $5,000 on 11/29/04. The amp has a Plexi Palace custom purple fiberglass anvil flight case (unable to warp),
North Coast stand ($120), VOX footswitch ($100), vinyl cover, promotion plastic snap-down pouch.

Victor offered to buy it back in 2002, but Jack reconsidered at the time and kept her. "As Victor Mason said to me when I was going to sell it back to him...  'Jack,
you will never find another one of these for sale.  I only did up under ten like this, in the chrome and completely restored the cabinet to original new specs.  And
if you DID find one, you would not be able to either afford it OR rationalize paying so much for an amp again.'  She is absolutely mind blowing.  Both visually and
sonically.  Only thing is to see the chassis, you have to open her.  AND one other thing.  She runs hot as a pistol.  I keep a fan on she and myself.  It is something
to consider."

As Jack said   “As far as AC30's go, mine is THE bomb.  You can see my very actual amp on the Plexi Palace site under "chromed chassis AC30"  AND you can
talk to Victor Mason personally about the amp.  Just call him up.  It IS UNREAL.  A vintage 1963 amp completely re-done AND CHROMED OUT.  Man, this is a
one of a kind, hot rodded amp from the best F'ing amplifier house in the world.  Hell, just see what Eric Johnson says about the shop in his personal comments
and grinning picture!!!”

"The AC30 is the last part of the Equation. An original JMI series AC30 is an excellent choice. With a total and thorough rebuild or electrical servicing, these
amps are extremely reliable and dependable. More dependable then anything you could buy. This is something we offer with all of our AC30's that are sent
through the Plexi Palace Service Shop.  The AC30 is rich with Harmonic content. This is only intensified when used in conjunction with the Rangemaster pedal.
Allowing the AC30 to operate in the over load region is also important. This can also become extremely loud. To Maintain comfortable volume levels simply
insert the THD Hotplate between the amplifiers output wire terminals and the speakers. All levels of volume can be achieved with he amp in total maximum
operating conditions."
