1979 Fresher X-309 !! X-RAY GUITARWORK !! $990.00
|
Here it is, the Fresher X-309 Effector Guitar. This is a very unusual guitar, incredibly well made and the electronics are way beyond anything on the market today.
It was made in 1979, so it's 30 years old. It has a fantastic shape reminiscent of some of the great Ibanez models, also similar to the Yamaha SG 2000 series. The
woodwork is fantastic, 5 piece laminated neck through, ash body that weighs in at 8 lbs. Any woodworker who got his hands on this guitar would appreciate the time
and skill it took to make this beautiful guitar.
When it was made 30 years ago it sold for around $800.00 quite expensive in those days when you could still pick up a 1965 strat for under $500.00, I know because
I sold my 65 sunburst for $500.00 in 1984. And at the time you could still get a 50's Les Paul for under $1000.00.
The pickups have four coils which become independent to each other and can combine for 18 different sounds with the selection switch. Because there is no
instruction manual, you have to play with it and discover all the possibilities, but that's fun! As for the neck it's very good and straight, Les Paul style medium,
neither chunky or thin but right in between. Fret wear is minimal, fingerboard and inlays perfect. Condition is around 8/10 the primary marks are in edge of body
here and there small nicks. Besides that it's in great, great condition. It's a very rare guitar.
For someone into unique guitars (or Alembic Guitars) with fantastic woodwork and unbelievable electronics, this was made for you. Comes with deluxe gig bag only.
