This is a really unique guitar from Greco. It really is officially known as the "Jeff Beck" Stratocaster,
even though I could not find any photos or information about Jeff ever playing a guitar like this. I believe
that in the 1970s, while on tour in Japan, Jeff likely picked up a guitar like this and it got some publicity in
Japan and then Greco jumped on the opportunity to make/sell one like Jeff played. This is pure speculation
of course, but I can think of no other reason that this would be known as a Jeff Beck signature model. It's a
spectacular guitar with a thick neck and a vintage feel, but with really nice amped-up single-coil tone. If you
get a chance to pick one of these up, do it. You won't put it down.
