1980 Tokai (7okai) Jazz Sound 1964 Fender Jazz Bass Replica, Olympic White
Sorry, this bass is Not for Sale
I absolutely love this bass... Tokai made some really cool basses back in the day, and every once-in-a-while they
decided to adorn a few of them with special features, like they did with this one.  If you don't know about the "Jazz
Sound" lawsuit basses, let me tell you that they have a really smooth, thick, yet bright, tone.  There's little muddiness
and the thump these basses can create is massive.  It's nice when you can find a vintage bass like this that you don't
need to swap out pickups or electronics or anything else... you can enjoy it and leave it all original.  The neck is
straight and the frets are nice and tall on the veneer '64 fretboard.  It's a rare beauty in today's market and, despite
the low model number, this alder-body bass has a quick slim neck and produces some thunderous tones.  It's got a
few very small bumps and bruises around the body, but is in great condition for being 28 years old this year.
