1980 Yamaha SA-700 Super Axe Cherry Red ES-335 Replica
Sorry, this guitar is Not For Sale
I really love these Yamaha Super Axe models. They have a warm creamy PAF-like tone that Yamaha spent a lot of
time perfecting. The wood they used on this guitar is of extremely high quality. Just look at the grain of the carved
maple body and mahogany neck. Although Yamaha made some Super Axe models up to the SA-2500, the only one
that truly captures the essence of a standard, original '59 ES-335 is this one right here. No special coil-tapping or
other high-end stuff... the beauty is in the simplicity, the warm finish glow, the superior wood choice and pickups and
the feel of the neck.  People always ask this about 335s: "Does it have a thick neck?"  Well, most brands of 335s had
the '60s style medium neck, but these Super Axes have the fattest necks I've felt and have the real '59 profile.  It's a
superb "dot" clone and we'll clean it up more before we ship.  We had to get these photos on before the holidays, so
it could use a little buffing.  What you see is a very lightly used 28 year-old vintage beauty that's still all original.
