1980s Original KAWAI MLY-140 MoonSault, Metallic Red
Sorry, this guitar is Not for Sale
Most people don't know this, but Kawai has been building guitars for around 60 years.  I just wish they would build more guitars like this one.  I brought a Moonsault
over to Scott Lentz of Lentz guitars and he was just blown away, he told me,  "John, you have to open a museum for people to see guitars like this, they'd come
from all over just to get the chance to see such amazing instruments."  Then he told me how a great a company they were and what quality they put into their
instruments.  I was surprised because, when I saw the guitar, I wanted it for it's unusual and unique shape, I didn't realize until playing it what a great guitar it is!

One important thing to note is that this model is THE
original hand-made MLY-140, the nicest and most expensive of all MoonSaults.  The condition is about 7.5/10
only due to the fact that the pickups have been changed and that the switches for phase, coil-tapping and boost have been disconnected, although they are still
intact and clean and could be re-wired back to original specs fairly easily.  The pickups that are in it now are both Dimarzios and have that classic Les Paul tone,
which is interesting because not many guitars CAN get that tone with a different body style.

This is a fantastic deal, as the frets are 9/10 tall and the neck is very straight and true.  There are no damage areas at all on the body or neck other than mild
scratching and surface paint-only nicks where the control cavity is.  It could be rewired up to be much more valuable than what we're selling this for.  It's a great
investment and opportunity to have one of the more rare vintage Japanese guitars that are out there.  Strap one of these on and you'll find your true potential as
a guitarist player.
