This is an amazing bass guitar - Tokai really nailed the Jaco bass early on, and did it right.  I think it is interesting that
Fender only decided to make a Jaco Pastorius replica bass in the 1990s, while Tokai had the idea way back in 1981.
The Japanese guitar market is a great place to find great artist replicas, and this bass is one of the coolest out there.
The fretboard is dark rosewood, and has line markers so you know where you're at, fret-wise.  The dot markers also
help, but the board is smooth and the JS pickups really allow you to work the board and get all the nuances you'd
want to get with a fretless bass.  It has great sustain and thump and the electronics are quiet for being as old as it is.
The wood has gorgeous grain and you'd be hard-pressed to find another fretless Jazz bass as nice as this one.  It is
balanced, lightweight and stays in tune.
