Guitar Help
In the 1970s and 1980s, Tokai made Martin acoustic guitar replicas under the name "Cat's Eyes."  These guitars were
extremely well-made alternatives to the expensive Martins for the Japanese.  I think many of the older Cat's Eyes were
on par, quality-wise, with the Martins they copied.  The higher-end models, like this CE-600, were made with solid
woods; top, front and back.  It is not one of the most eye-catching acoustics in my collection, but the tone certainly is.
It has a bright tone and excellent mid-range.  The bass is there, too, but the clarity of the mids and highs really stands
out when playing this guitar.
