1983-85 Yamaha SG-1000N
$590.00
I'm putting up this great Yamaha SG 1000N from my own collection.  It's a fantastic guitar and this particular color is the only one I've seen in person.  I'm sure
there are more out there, but very few available.

Here are some of the particulars.  Made between 1983 & 1985, Ebony fretboard, mother of pearl inlays, body = maple & mahogany, neck mahogany, medium
shape like most SG's.  Pickups = standard Yamaha SG Humbuckers, controls = 2 volume, 2 tone with push pull pots.  Everything is original and in great vintage
condition.  It weighs in at 8.95 lbs and cost 100,000 yen when new.

I love this guitar, if you look at the photos you'll see the neck is perfect.  The push pull pots are fantastic, really gives you that volume boost & punchiness when
you need it.  As I was taking the photos I really appreciated the quality of workmanship that goes into such a guitar.  When you make a full color guitar the
painting and finishing process is much more difficult as any defects show immediately.  The guitar has to be perfect or the finish will look like hell.

Condition of this guitar is great, it's around 8.75/10, plays, looks & sounds fantastic.  There are just a few nicks on the top, you can see them if you look closely
at the photos.  The neck pickup ring is missing a very small part of one corner edge.  Now for the bad news. . . as I was looking over the photos I saw something
on one of the photos of the back of the neck by the headstock.  It looked like a ripple, I never saw it before so I went to inspect it.  Sure enough what I saw in the
photo was there.  It appears that someone must have knocked this beauty over and there is a crack running through the finish.  Like I mentioned earlier, I hadn't
noticed it before, the photo brought it to my attention.  It doesn't affect the playability at all, is only cosmetic in nature, but it is there, so any potential buyer
should know about it.

I was going to ask $1050.00 for this great SG, but I'm taking the price down to $590.00 because of the finish crack.  Also, I will accept the guitar back if you are
not satisfied with it, but you must pay the postage.  Please look closely while deciding.

It's a great guitar and I would never have known about the crack if I didn't take such good pictures!  I adjusted the truss rod slightly to set this guitar up today
and it worked perfectly, there is a lot of room there, but with a guitar 25 years old you wont have the need as the neck has already done any movement it
needed to.  - JOHN
