1985 Fernandes PB-60 "Limited Edition" 1964 Precision Bass Replica $640.00
|

I have seen few basses as superb a replica as this one. Most of the Japanese vintage basses are clones of the 1962
Fender bass, with the slab rosewood fretboard. This '64 replica has the veneer, rounded fretboard, which is much more
rare to find. In addition to the rarity of this bass, the condition is unbelievable. It has a beautiful tortoiseshell pickguard,
very similar to the model year it was cloned after. Not that dark tortoiseshell... this has the more reddish tone. Not
just a looker, this bass has enormous sustain and punch. Fernandes/Burny are known for their great pickups, and this
bass is a testament to that. The "Limited Edition" series followed "The Revival" series guitars and basses, and this is
a pretty nice bass that has a real vintage appeal while still feeling like a new bass. It's got a great, straight neck with
a rosewood board that they just don't put on mid-priced basses these days due to the rarity of the wood now. It's
ready for the stage or your recording den; it needs nothing more than someone to strap it on.
