1985 Tokai LS-100 Love Rock 1959 Les Paul Flame Top Replica with Nice (non-original) Hardshell Case Sorry, this guitar is Not for Sale
|
You know how hard these are to find. This is a fantastic guitar and completely original, except for the strap buttons,
which are of the locking type. Nitro finish, really nice burst - very classy. The top is a veneer flame, as is the LS-120
model. To be honest, I had quite a few of the LS-120 bursts in my time collecting, and not too many of them had a
top this nice. It all depends on the wood, and it's of course subjective. After seeing all the ultra AAAAAAA flame tops
and so on, it's nice to see a classy one like the original 50's Paul were. Not pretentious, just nice wood and superb
tone. There are some scratches and very light fret wear, but for one of these, it's a mighty nice one. No issues at all
and the only real ding is the size of a pinhead about 1 inch from the bridge that you can barely see (photo below).
Very convincing for a '59 replica. They sure don't make 'em like they used to, that's for sure.
