1988 Greco Super Real WF-140 Gretsch White Falcon Replica & OHSC $2,475.00

The White Falcon is perhaps one of the most elusive guitars in the Greco line. It is an extraordinary instrument, made as
well as the original from which it is cloned, and far superior to the modern reissues. There is no easy way to put "mojo"
into a guitar - no relicing or aging or fake distressing can give it to you. Greco luthiers of the time had some special
theory about making guitars and only the models that had that something special were given the "Super Real" title.
This guitar is the quintessential Super Real. It has more mojo than any instrument hanging on the wall at Guitar Center,
is now 21 years old, mildly aged, all-original, rare as hen's teeth and on top of that, it has TONE. Not the typical Filtertron
tone, either. The pickups in this sound more like a blend of Filtertrons and mini-humbuckers, which means that they are
powerful, snappy, can do jazz very well and when driven, can really sing and scream. Both pickups are well-balanced and
a lot of thought went into the feel of the neck, which is a medium C shape. It is crafted so well, every fret requires little
effort to work and each note rings out with authority, so there are no dead spots or buzzing. It's an incredible feat in
guitar-making and artistry. It still amazes me that these guitars are as exact as they are. Functional art for musicians!
