Here it is, one of the most rare and coveted of all Greco guitars... the famous Ron Wood
"Blackbeard's Island" model. Story goes (from a friend of Tony's) that Tony made the original
for Ron Wood and years later others, upon seeing it on stage all the time, wanted the same
one built for them. Tony lost the plans for the top design and told the prospective buyer that
it would be easier if he could get the Greco clone he'd seen, which he thought was nice, so that
he could re-design the new ones from these plans, which he did. So, other than Ron's own
guitar, all Tony's models similar to the original were based off of this Greco design. There were
only 100 of these made in 1990... and never again. They are not affiliated with the GZ line, which
are also great guitars, but lack the mojo and tone these have. This is the very first Z clone Greco
ever made. Now Kanda Shokai is the owner of Zemaitis, and this is the guitar that started it all.
