1980s Burny RLC-85RR Randy Rhoads Les Paul Custom Replica
$840.00
Lately we've been very lucky and almost every guitar we've gotten has been
superb.  The other day someone asked me, "Do you write great descriptions for
every guitar?"  And I said, "No, but the ones that are great I love to talk about."

This is one of those guitars, it is fantastic and at first glance it appears to be
perfect.  I took it out of it's Japanese gig bag and tuned it up.  That's all it needed.
Then I proceeded to run it through a series of exercises I use to determine the
playability and sound quality of a new guitar.

It plays perfectly, the action is fantastic, the sound is pure PAF growl.  It's a real
rock & roller and I found that I couldn't put it down, on the contrary I cranked my
poor Princeton Reverb up to its max and let it rip for around 30 minutes.  Still I
had to push myself to get up and take the photos.

The condition is around 8/10 but I only found that out when I brought it in to the
studio, as I said earlier, at first glance it appears to be perfect, but it isn't it has a
few nicks.  One on top of the headstock, one on the players side of the neck a
few inches from the body, another on the neck after the nut.  There is one dent
on top of the guitar below the bridge, but it is so hard to see that I had a hard time
photographing it.  Without those nicks and dents it would be a 9.5/10.  However
they don't affect the playability or looks because they really cant be seen except
by the player himself.

It has a typical weight for a custom 10.15 lbs.  The fretboard is ebony and the
inlays are stunning, not just your typical mother of pearl, but a stunning mix of
whites, blues, silvers and pinks.  The tuners are the best made, Gotohs.  All in all
it's a fantastic guitar that sounds and plays as good as any Custom I've ever had
in my hands.  We thought it was a 1990s model, but it's an early 1980s one!
