Here's a real rare beauty... a Fender Japan Custom Shop ST62-118 in Sonic Blue nitro finish with Fender greenish
pickguard, USA vintage reissue pickups (the good early ones), 3-way switch & CTS pots. Bears the "Custom Edition"
seal on the back of the headstock. Has a superb dark rosewood fretboard and a killer finish that is aging so nicely.
They don't come any better than this one. It's one of the highest-end models they ever made. The grain on the neck is
mesmerizing. This guitar is richly resonant and the bell-like chime draws comments from its tone. Fender Japan only had
a Custom Shop from about 1990-1992. Don't be fooled by sellers making claims that theirs are Custom Shop models
simply because it may be stamped "order-made." That only designates that someone ordered a variation of a standard
model - definitely special but not Custom Shop. The only Fender Japan Custom Shop guitars are the Custom Edition,
such as this, or an EX-TRAD model, which is another highly-rare model. Rare as hens' teeth and superb instruments.
