1993 Fender Japan (MIJ) ST54-90EX '54 Reissue Stratocaster & OSC
Sorry, this guitar is Not for Sale
Now here's a super-authentic reproduction (reissue) of the Strat that started it all. 1954 reissues are not as common as
other models of the Stratocaster and feature a larger, chunky neck that some players love the feel of.  It's an
unpretentious Strat in that it features a 3-piece select ash body, just like most of the original '54s, and also sports the
same type of nitro lacquer they used on the original. Unlike the hard shell they coat with these reissues nowadays, this
one has the real feel and orangish-yellow aging that is unique to those finishes. What you can't see is the huge
powerhouse under the pickguard... correct-era original USA vintage reissue pickups, CTS pots and the usual 5-way
switch. The only changes to the guitar was that a Vitamin Q capacitor was added to optimize the tone and that the
strap pegs were changed to the locking type. Other than that, this guitar is unchanged and has a beautiful fat neck
and really drips with tone. Has that underwatery-bell-like tone you always hope to get with your guitar but rarely do.
