According to Woody, he built this amp for John Cougar Mellencamp's guitarist
and the amp had been used by him (I forget the name) as well as other
semi-famous and famous guitarists in the mid-1990s. I cannot verify this other
than what he told me, but I can see why - Woody bought and used original
1950s cloth-covered wiring and tweed from a Fender factory clean-out for this
amp. It is a boutique, completely hand-made amplifier, cabinet construction
and wiring included. It is basically a hot-rodded Fender Bassman amp and
allows every nuance of your guitar playing to come through. It sounds
beautiful clean or in overdrive and has great mids and highs. This is a
rock 'n roll legend of an amp.
