This amp is probably the coolest amp I own. It is completely hand-made and
hand-wired, and was very difficult to make, as Woody Wolfe, the builder,
described. There were only a very few of these ever made, as the cost of the
parts and the work exceeded the selling price of $3,500. Has original 1950s
Fender cloth-covered wiring and NOS parts, as purchased, and as you can see.
Stress cracks are only cosmetic in nature and can be "heated out" to
completely disappear, if you wanted to get it done by a plexiglass specialist.
The tone? Imagine a 1950s Fender Bassman Amp on sterroids. As the name
implies, it is a BLUES amp for BLUES players. Very transparent tone and will
point out your mistakes or technique without coloring it up. Very straightforward
all-tube class A amp with 2 totally independent channels, smooth breakup for
classy, classic overdrive tone, and yes, the plexiglass does resonate as good
and better than most wooden combo amps. About 60 lbs. of pure blues power.
