This is one bass you don't see every day.  The beauty is in its simplicity, really.  There is one volume and one tone
knob, one pickup.  Otherwise, it is a breathtakingly beautiful center-bookmatched piece of Japanese Sen Ash wood
bolted to a choice maple neck, finished in 100% nitrocellulose lacquer.  Sting made this bass an icon of Rock 'n Roll
history and I think it is quite a tip of the hat to Leo Fender that his design hasn't needed to be changed much since it
first appeared in 1951.  Bacchus took the design and replicated it with amazing attention to detail and used only the
best hardware on this bass.  The single pickup is typical in tone and true to the original, in my opinion.  It isn't a loud
bass, has good mids and highs and punchy bass.  This isn't a bass for someone looking for monstrous low-end.  It
just isn't designed to do that.  It is great for reggae, country and rock.  Metalheads probably wouldn't like the tone,
but if you want clarity and want to get the nuances out of the notes, then this is a good choice.
