2003 ESP Eric Clapton "The Fool" SG Replica
Not For Sale
Eric Clapton made this guitar and the painting famous when he played in Cream in the late 1960s.  The Japanese
company ESP took the lead, even before Gibson, to recreate the guitar with the artwork in great detail.  This was
not the earliest model I have seen, but these all pre-date Gibson's own first attempt to clone the original.  ESP's
Custom Shop hand-painted each one of these models, which are extremely rare now.  The quality of the guitar
itself is a bit of a let-down... it's a hybrid between an Edwards and a Navigator in quality, and the original pickups
were generic low-quality Japanese hubuckers and electronics.  Still a very cool guitar, that is easy to upgrade if
desired.
