ESP was the parent company of both Seymour Duncan and Navigator/Edwards guitars in Japan during the 1990s extending through 2005. Both lines focused on high-end Fender replicas, although the Navigator/Edwards line made (and continue to make) Gibson replicas as well. I never really understood the need for both lines, as the Seymour Duncan models were made with as much attention to detail and craftsmanship as the Navigators were. In 2005, ESP decided to cease production of the replica line, which was disappointing, but continued on with making Fender-like basses under the same name. This guitar below is a very rare example of the finest Seymour Duncan had to offer. It even has fret-edge binding carved into the Brazilian rosewood fretboard! Unreal! This is one-of-a-kind with all the original goodies. Click HERE to go to the current Seymour Duncan site. It isn't much, but you can see what they're up to now.
