I really wish I could put this tele in the hands of Muddy Waters himself to see what he thinks. Bacchus went above and beyond with this relic from their Custom Shop... they studied the famous 50s/60s Fender Telecaster used by the man from a series of photos and written details and then recreated it in exact form, only as the Japanese can/are willing to do. The pickups used are the same Fender USA vintage pickups Muddy uses (with ALL cloth-covered wiring) and they even reliced the guitar in the same spots the same way as Muddy did. The finish is all nitrocellulose lacquer and is aged to a deep candy apple red. The knobs are Fender 70s-style, just like on the original guitar this Custom Shop artist model has copied.
